For those keeping track at home, boxofficemojo.com is reporting that Ghostbusters earned $21,600,000 at the box office in it’s second weekend of release, bringing it’s total so far to $86,856,739. That’s still a far cry from the $144 million it cost to make the movie and since China and a couple of other countries have banned the film (because of supernatural content) it needs to make a lot more money before a sequel is guaranteed.
The movie came in third place behind Star Trek Beyond ($59 million) and The Secret Life of Pets ($29 million).
